The Tuesday Ten, All About Origami Owl | Guest Post

9:30 AM Posted by Stacey , , , No comments
Today's Tuesday Ten is a Guest Post.

Jen Luman is an Origami Owl Designer. I just had an Origami Owl Jewelry Bar last week as a fundraiser for Relay for Life and it was a blast. We raised some money, designed some amazing personal jewelry pieces, spent time chatting and having fun, and earned some free product as well. It was awesome. My necklace includes a "love" plate, a camera, diamond and a paw print. Super cute and tells just who I am. You can find out more about Origami Owl on Jen's Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/jenlumanoo

When Stacey asked me to share my ten favorite things about Origami Owl, I was ecstatic. I just learned about the company a few months ago and love it! Learn more about them (and the 14 year old who started the company) here: http://jenluman.origamiowl.com/story.ashx

1. I love the jewelry, it’s seriously addicting. Telling your story with jewelry is so easy because there are so many charms; the hardest part choosing just one locket, and narrowing down the charms to what will fit inside.

2. The Origami Owl mission statement

3. Jewelry Bars are fun! I was a little hesitant at first about going in to someone’s home and setting up a jewelry bar, but, I've had the opportunity to meet so many new friends this way…including Stacey!

4. Fundraising! Origami Owl is now proud to sponsor the “Child help Speak Up Be Safe” prevention education curriculum. In the past few months, I've had the chance to partner with local organizations to help them raise money by donating a portion of the sales from their jewelry bar back to the organization.

5. Rose Gold! I was always unsure about how to wear rose gold jewelry, but, Origami Owl has a whole line of rose gold lockets, charms, plates, etc. so I've gotten to do a lot of experimenting. Rose Gold looks great with black, which is what I usually wear for work!

6. Origami Owl is always updating their line of jewelry to stay current with local trends and recently expanded into the US Hispanic and Puerto Rican markets (if you’re bilingual, this is a great opportunity for you!)

7. Extra income! I already have a full time job, but, earning extra income doing something fun for a company that you believe in is great! (It doesn’t hurt that you can do it in your pajamas!) Buying the starter kit was a hard sell for me, but, worth every penny! I paid myself back 2x’s with just one jewelry bar! And, now my goal is to use this extra income to get out of debt!

8. The perfect packaging! Origami Owl catalogs are called “take out menus” and your locket comes packaged inside of a fortune cookie, that’s nestled inside of this take out box!

9. The Tagged Collection! This collection is one of my favorites and it’s priced just right! Simply stated tags help you portray who you and look great with a tshirt and jeans or dressed up!

10.Here’s what I’m wearing this summer!
