I met this family at Spring Hollow in Logan Canyon for their family session. Their kids are super cute. I did their little girls 1 year cake smash session a little bit ago. They did pretty good but she gave me a hard time to get her to smile. Regardless it was a blast. I love the colors Angie picked. They went very well with the fall colors and water at Spring Hollow.

Thanks again Angie!

One huge benefit of living in Utah, Logan specifically, is that I get to see Amazing scenery nearly every time I go to a photo session. And I LOVE it. Utah is such an breathtaking and beautiful place, I often take it for granted how lucky I am to living in a area so full of beauty. Shelley contacted me and wanted to do their family picture session at Tony Grove Lake. I was super excited. I did a bridal session there a few weeks ago and LOVED it so naturally it was a go. Shelley and Todd were amazing to work with and their kids were awesome. I rode up with them and we kept the conversation up the entire drive. It was super helpful and I think it gave the kids time to warm up to me so they could be them selves during pictures. Shelley had picked beautiful colors that complimented each other and the area perfectly. Hanging out at Tony Grove lake was the perfect evening for this session. The area wasn't busy and was nice and quiet for us. We used the Lake and the tree's/fields for the perfect backdrops. Their kids were adorable and did awesome smiling for me and the camera. At the end of their session they changed into some Utah State Aggie apparel for a few pictures, which I totally loved. Having families show their personality, interests and hobbies is always super fun and welcome during any of my sessions.

We stopped at the overlook on our way down from Tony's Grove for one last photo before the evening started loosing too much light. It's such a beautiful area in Logan Canyon and I think this family compliments it well. They are super people and they rocked their session.

The Tuesday Ten | 10 Acts of Kindness

7:00 AM Posted by Stacey , No comments
Today's Tuesday Ten idea was recommended by Stephanie Strawn. I've known Stephanie for nearly 4 years through our volunteer work with Relay for Life. She's a remarkable woman and it's only fitting that she gave me this topic. I challenge each of you to pick a few things on this list and do them in the next week. They may be small things but it's through our small acts that we can make the world a better place.

10 Acts of Kindness that can change the world

1.     Open or Hold the door open for someone
2.     Volunteer somewhere (Humane Society, Relay for Life, Local Library, etc).
3.     When you purchase an item of clothing, donate an item to someone in need
4.     Help someone carry something
5.     Pick up litter
6.     Be sincere when you say “Thank You”
7.     Let someone merge into your lane
8.     Put money in an expired parking meter
9.     Compliment Someone
10.  Listen. Don’t interrupt when someone is speaking to you. Sometimes just having someone listen to your feelings/opinions can make a huge difference.

Oh how cute is Korver!? Remember his 6 month session back in April and how adorable he was! We did that session inside in the studio. Check it out here
Well he's a year old this time around and we got to watch him eat some cake! His mom and I have been planning his cake smash session for nearly a month. I was super excited to put together a cake smash with a cake, balloons and a banner. Though I loved doing outdoor pictures, sometimes cake smashes get a little messy. Hopefully the rain helped clean up that grass we were on!
Balloons: Kylie brought
Banner: Shayna Larson

Overall it was a fun session. Korver kept making this adorable face that I loved capturing! Mom, Dad and Korver looked great and I love their family pictures we got. While he wasn't too sure about his smash cake he did try it out. Mm and dad had to help him out a little but he sure got messy. His little foot had more frosting on it then his hands did. I loved this location and I think these turned out great.

Thanks again Dallin and Kylie.
