Welcome to The Tuesday Ten Post - My Favorite Beauty Products
Now, I'm not a beautician, nor am I an amazing makeup applicator. Truthfully, I could use a few tips. But, Lately I've gotten better and I'm learning to love beauty products. Back in November my mom and sister talked me into joining Ipsy. It's a glam bag filled with 5 products (samples) every month for $10 a month. I have LOVED it. Some products not so much but overall it has been awesome and it's helped me step outside my comfort zone and be daring to try something new. Since then I've found a few other products I absolutely love through research and just browsing at Ulta.
So here's today's Ten | My Favorite Beauty Products (or at least favorite right now).
(Note: Most Photos were found on Google.com, Ulta.com, Elf.com, tarte.com, dakine.com)
#1 - Lights, Camera, Lashes. This really is my number one. I love this stuff. This beauty came in my Ipsy bag a few months ago and I've been obsessed ever since. I purchased a full size at Ulta and LOVE IT. It's an amazing 4 in 1 mascara and I just love the way it goes on and looks. It is a little spendy at $20 a tube but it's worth it.
#2 - Urban Decay's Naked Pallet. Swoon. This has been an amazing edition to my daily routine. I love the colors and can change it up just a little while still keeping my "normal" look. They feel and look great and don't wear off. (Plus I use a primer, cheap from Elf and it helps a ton!). It's spendy at $54 but I haven't regretted it once.
#3 - Face Primer. Your thinking I spend a lot on beauty products right about now, aren't you? Well let me tell you about E.L.F. That stands for Eyes, Lips, Face. I love this stuff! Their green Mineral Face Primer is amazing. The way it feels going over my skin is to die for. I'm currently out and I am craving this back in my daily routine. Time for an order. I think it's $6 a bottle. Walmart carries ELF but I'm not sure they carry this, I need to check it out.
#4 - Eye Shadow. O.M.G This stuff is amazing. I used to wear grey, only grey. Then I purchased a bunch of stuff from ELF and decided to try this color. It's called Gala. Oh I fell in love. I use this every single day (ok 6 out of 7 days the week). It's a cream eye shadow but I love it. I have this same stuff in grey, purple, and white and they are all awesome but the Gala Brown Color is the BEST! I think this was like $3.
#5 - LipSurgence. I have NEVER been a fan of pink or red lips on myself. I see other women and they can totally pull it off. I got a few different lip glosses and lip stick in my Ipsy bag and I've tried them but not really loved them. When I purchased my Tarte Mascara from Ulta a few weeks ago I got a sample size of this LipSurgence for free because I spent a set price. Wow. I LOVE IT! It looks super pink but it's more like a gloss and goes on lighter. Totally worth it, You bet I'll be buying a full size when my sample runs out. Be daring. This color is awesome, and not too over the top but it gives you just the right kick of color to your lips. It's called Flush.
#6 - Makeup Remover. Ok, I'll be honest. I suck at removing my makeup every night. The bottle of liquid and using my good rags just gets annoying. That's why I fell in love with these makeup remover cleansing cloths. Easy, Useful, on the go and they work. I use them on Kira all the time after she plays dress up and they work great for kids too.
#7 & 8 - Perfume. So, if you know me really personally then you know I'm a total Perfume nut. I collect perfume bottles and I don't leave the house without perfume and if it's the rare case I do, I always have some in my Purse. My latest loves are Amore by Vince Camuto and Turquoise Summer by Escada.
Andy gave me this one for Christmas. I have a travel tube in my purse as well.
I just ordered this one from Kohls - 30% off baby.
#9 - Carrying Case. I bought a Dakine makeup/travel case in Hawaii a few years ago. At first I wasn't sure what or if I'd use it. Now I take it nearly everywhere. My case is black and yes it looks like I'm carrying scriptures but oh well. It holds all my favorite makeup products. I've used a few Ipsy bags to put spare stashes at work, my purse and soon the jeep so I have something "just in case".
#10 - HELP! I have YET to find a eye liner I just love.
The search is on.
So my question to you ladies, what products do you love?
