My first time using my new Nikon D7000 DLSR was in Maui, Hawaii. I purchased my Nikon the day after thanksgiving and then hopped on a plane to Maui the day after that. Naturally, I took my camera with me. It was interesting learning to use my camera on site in Hawaii and most of what I wanted to do I was unable to because I just didn't know how. Sure, I had the manual but who really reads that or who really takes it across the island on vacation with you? Yeah not me. Most of the shots I got that trip were in automatic mode but I did try out manual on a few things... and to this day I'm still learning. I've loved my Nikon from the day I purchased it and started this awesome adventure of being a Photographer. I genuinely love it. I love taking photos, I love meeting people, I love editing, I love the interaction, I love the memories, I just love love love everything about it. Enjoy parts of my trip to Maui Hawaii.
