The Tuesday Ten | Holiday Scentsy Fragrances

7:00 AM Posted by Stacey , , , No comments

Today's Tuesday Ten Post is guest blogger! I LOVE my scentsy and have a warmer in nearly every room of my house. I LOVE the scentsy during the holiday and keep them stocked up! I especially love that I can have an artificial tree but have it smell like spruce! Enjoy...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you Stacey for giving me the opportunity to write a holiday Scentsy blog post for your Tuesday Ten!  I have the perfect Topic:  Top 10 Holiday Scentsy Fragrances!  For anyone that needs some great smelling Fragrance, please be sure to place your orders soon.  You can call/text me: 435-730-8010 or order online: www.rikellhammer.scentsy.us be sure to LIKE my page on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RikellLovesScentsy

10-Peppermint Dreams-
A warm rush of honeyed-cupcake sweetness cooled by a blast of fresh mint.

REVIEW:  This is a very powerful scent, so make sure you're a huge chocolate and peppermint fan before you warm up this one.  I for one don't like mint chocolate so I'm not personally a fan of this one...but, so many of my family and customers LOVE it!

 9-Cozy Fireside-
Warm spice notes with zesty ginger and cinnamon.

REVIEW:  It is a deep cinnamon scent combined with other rich spices that transports you to sitting by a warm holiday fire, perhaps in a rocking chair or recliner, the warmth of the holiday spirit enliven your senses and bring the most magical feeling to your heart. This scent is PERFECT for combining with a plug-in warmer for a small gift.

8-Everything Nice-
Deep caramel and swirls of butter with roasted pumpkin and glazed pecans

REVIEW:  Sugar, spice, and Everything Nice about Fall all wrapped into one scent!!! The initial scent is a thick, creamy caramel with spiced pecans but it's layered with the scent of pumpkin and it's topped off with the smell of nutmeg like you find in eggnog. It's a crazy sweet scent! If you love spiced caramel scents you will love this!

7-Cinnamon Bear-
Crisp, spicy cinnamon, reminiscent of Red Hots candy with a touch of cloves.

REVIEW: Cinnamon Bear is exactly what it sounds like - red hot cinnamon all wrapped up in a sweet looking little package. Just like the candy, this scent packs the heat! If you're looking for an intense, concentrated cinnamon smell, it is right here for you!

6-Very Snowy Spruce=
Balsam, spruce, and cedar branches embrace the warmth of amber and woody pinecones.

REVIEW:  This is it. The quintessential Christmas tree aroma. In all of its majestic, snowy, forest green glory! If you miss Scenty's former Christmas Tree scent, it is back! Very Snowy Spruce is Christmas. Ha! There's no other way to say it.  This scent will bring back fond memories of Christmas seasons - finding Christmas trees, running down the stairs on Christmas morning. It's all right here. Awesome!

5-Eskimo Kiss=
Blackberry jam, caramelized brown sugar, vanilla, and amber in a softly romantic scent.

REVIEW:   It is a really nice scent!! For the most part, I think Scentsy is right on with the description, but I feel like you can't easily discern one smell from the next, they blend very well.  Just like soft nose kisses!  One I could warm all year round.

4-Christmas Cottage-
A cozy, inviting blend of Valencia oranges, raspberries, cloves, and spices.

REVIEW: It mixes all of the best scents of the season into one memorable scent! Orange and cinnamon with other "Christmassy" scents in there as well, this one is amazing in your home during the holidays and absolutely perfect as a gift!

3-Cider Mill=
Fresh apples, crushed pumpkin, and simmering spices for a cozy autumn treat

REVIEW: This scent is - in one word - PERFECT. It is the ultimate fall fragrance!!! Rich apple cider, warm pumpkin and pleasant autumn spices all swirl around to create one of the *best* scents that Scentsy has put out. The spice level is perfect - not too much cinnamon, just enough to be amazing, the sweetness level is perfect, it's not too much apple or too much pumpkin. It is perfectly blended and everything you would want from a fall scent!!! LOVE IT!

2-Pumpkin Roll-
Creamy pumpkin pie filling, surrounded with yellow cake, pecans, butter, and spice

REVIEW:  It smells like you would hope it would - a light pumpkin scent mixed with cinnamon and yellow cake batter. I love pumpkin! This is a favorite of many people, so if you like pumpkin give it a shot.  Try it in our fabulous Layers product. Personal favorites: Body Butter and Hand soap.

1-Snowberry-
A luscious blend of loganberry, strawberry, peppermint, and zesty cinnamon.

REVIEW: Snowberry is a blend of fruit, very slight mint, and vanilla.  Really mild  nice scent! Scentsy mentions peppermint and zesty cinnamon, but really these two scents are extremely faint - they are more accent scents. Mostly it's just the soft aroma of semi-tart berries. This makes a really great gift scent because it's agreeable with most people.  My personal favorite!

Jensen Family, Zollinger Fruit Tree Farm | Cache Valley Family Photographer

This family was oh so cute! We met at Zollinger's Fruit and Tree Farm in River Heights for their session. It was a little cold but we didn't quite have snow yet. With three boys, these guys have their hands full! We had a fun session and I loved using a new location.

Thanks again Jensen's!

The Tuesday Ten | Origami Owl Holiday Edition

8:35 AM Posted by Stacey , , No comments
Today's Tuesday Ten Post is a guest blogger you've read from before! Jen Luman is an amazing Origami Owl Designer. I have LOVED my Origami Owl jewlery I got this summer and can't wait to add some fun Holiday and Winter items to my lockets.

Origami Owl released their holiday line a few weeks ago and I’m already in love! Lots of new goodies to add to our collections! Don’t know Origami Owl? It’s a custom jewelry company that lets customers tell their stories with jewelry! What a great concept, right? Check out the Origami Owl story here: http://jenluman.origamiowl.com/story.ashx  Want to see more? Stop by my facebook page for ideas, contact info and more: https://www.facebook.com/jenlumanoo

1.      The heritage locket was introduced with the holiday line! It’s rectangular and comes in gold and silver.

2.      Limited edition holiday charms! Nutcrackers, Gingerbread Girls, Snowflakes, Nativity, Santa Owl, and many more!

3.      New charms (not limited edition) for fall and the holidays! Like this cute pink snowboard. The backside of the charm is yellow. It’s one of my favorites!

4.      Swarovski is the world’s premier crystal designer and starting this fall, Origami Owl jewelry features Swarovski crystals on locket faces, birthstone charms and more.

5.      CORE is a new line of jewelry within the O2 family. It’s sterling silver and 18K gold or rose gold plated and very reasonably priced. CORE offers a whole new way to tell a story and looks great paired with a locket or without. CORE makes a great meaningful gift for everyone on your list.

6.      Leather bracelets offer a whole new way to wear your locket! I compare them to SWATCH watches because the leather bands AND the face plate on the top of the locket are interchangeable so you can pair this popular bracelet with a variety of looks

7.      Now you can celebrate your special day with the O2 Bridal Collection!

8.      Lanyard lockets for every person who has ever had to get up and put on an old lanyard every day for work. Perfect for teachers!

9.      Origami Owl encourages its designers (people like me who sell their jewelry) to be a force for good in their community. This year I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many people through fundraising events and raise money for Relay for Life teams, sports teams and local charities that assist local families that are affected by cancer.

10.  Holiday jewelry bars have filled up my calendar but I still have room for a few more! These “parties” are in home, online, at your office, or anywhere else you can think of. Introduce your friends to O2 and earn free jewelry for yourself, including this exclusive black wrap bracelet—now that’s a great way to check off your holiday shopping list.

Fall Bridal Session | Utah Wedding Photographer

1:00 PM Posted by Stacey , No comments
One of my FAVORITE things to do as a photographer is collaborate with others. Whether it's other photographers, models or other vendors in related industries it's an amazing experience and I always learn a LOT! This session was no different! I reached out to my good friend Heather from HMmakeovers who is one of my most loyal clients and one I've had the longest. She recently got into the Make Up industry so we got together to do the Pin Up Shoot in August. This time I wanted to do a Bridal session, because well I loved my last Stylized Bridal session and wanted to do a fall one. Together we put the vendors and model together for this session. The day came and I was thrilled and beyond excited. I was on my way home from Moab that morning and was running just a tad bit late. Heather and our Model Corie were already in Logan and ready to shoot. (They are both from Layton, Utah area). Once I got home I dropped my stuff and grabbed my camera, out the door I went. It was a beautiful and very sunny afternoon but I think our session turned out great! We went to Tony Grove which is a little bit of a drive up Logan Canyon. Corie looked stunning in her wedding dress (which we actually wore for her wedding 8 years ago). Holly did an AMAZING job with the cake. I asked for a small naked cake and she did perfectly. Heather, Corie and I did the flowers on top and it turned out beautifully! Stacey did the flowers which again were just what I was looking for. A little bit of fall color with some fun textures. The location was perfect, temperature was just right and everything came together perfectly.

Here's all those who helped make this session possible. Give them some love because they are all AMAZING at what they do!

Location: Tony Grove Lake, Logan Canyon Utah
Model: Corie Jakobsen
Hair: Molly Jones at Ambiance Salon
Dress made by: Lorie Jackson (Corie's Mom)
