Redefining Perfect, Session 6 | Utah Passion Portrait Photographer

Kambri is an amazing little girl. Over the last 12 months she has endured 4 surgeries and will go in for her 5th in December or January. She is such a strong little lady. I have LOVED LOVED LOVED seeing her over the last year and how much she has changed, how strong she has become and how much her personality shines each time we take photos. She is seriously full of life. She is always so spunky, funny and loves to laugh. At first she was not too sure about photos or letting her shell off... but now I ask her to laugh and she genuinly laughs. And. I. Love. It.

If you haven't read up on Kambri's story with us or her blog I copied this from her mom... "Kambri was born with Mictrotia-Atresia. Have you ever heard of that? We hadn't either until she was born. In the simplest of terms, it is a deformity of the ear and happens in about 1 in every 10,000 births."

Redefining Perfect, Session 5 | Utah Passion Portrait Photographer

This is my first time getting to blog about Kambri, and I am honored for the opportunity to talk about such a strong and amazing little lady. Kambri is an inspiration to me, and I’m sure to many others as well. Like Kambri, her mother is so strong and continues to amaze me through this whole process of redefining perfect.

Kambri was born with Mictrotia-Atresia. You can learn more about it and their full story on their blog, Redefining Perfect. As I looked back over her previous session I couldn’t help but see the change in her. She has really come out of her shell since our very first session back in December.

From the time this whole process began Kambri has gone through 4 surgeries, and will be going in for her 5^th tomorrow. Stacey is so grateful for the opportunity she has to watch their progress and capture the memories of how far they’ve come.

This girl is stronger than most adults. She is an amazing little lady, and daily she shows the world how to be happy even in the face of a trial. Kambri you have more impact than I believe you will ever know. You are so brave! Best of luck to you tomorrow! We know you will do great, and our prayers are with you, and your family.

Redefining Perfect, Session 4 | Utah Passion Portrait Photographer

A couple of weeks ago this girl went in for Surgery #4 this year. Kambri has Mictrotia-Atresia which is a deformity of the ear and happens in about 1 in every 10,000 births. She will undergo 2 more surgeries before she's done. Likely 1 more this year and then another next winter/spring.

I can't even begin to tell you how strong this little girl is! Oh my goodness. She is happy and such an inspiration. Her mom is the same way. I feel so thankful to be apart of her journey of Redefining Perfect. I have a secret up my sleeve for her final reveal and I can't wait to give it to her and her mom!

So glad your surgery went well this Month Kambri! Such a powerful little lady you are.

Plus - she cut her hair and donated it since our last photo session and I'm seriously LOVING the short hair! and Look how much older and more mature she looks. Maybe that's just me but she's come along way out of her shell since our first photo session in December! Her mom cut hers as well. Always helping others when they can, that's just the Strawn way!

This girl though! She goes in for Surgery # 3 today. I have loved seeing her before her surgeries and talking with her mom. She is such an amazing little lady. One that is stronger than most adults I know. So Brave! She laughed pretty good tonight, and I love that she actually smiles for me. Plus she's getting those POSES down just perfect. :)

Redefining Perfect, Session 2 | Utah Passion Portrait Photographer

Oh this little girl is one strong lady. Yesterday she went in for Round 2 of a 5 series of surgeries. I am so happy to be involved in their progress and capture some fun photos of her at each stage. We did Stage 1 (Pre surgery back in January). You need to check out those photos here. After a long week in the hospital for round 1, round 2 was an out patient surgery. I love following her mom's blog called Redefining Perfect. She is such an amazing lady and I love how great she's been documenting the entire process. Check out their full story here.
