Going on vacation was just what we needed! We went to Oahu and Maui, Hawaii for 8 days. It was the most relaxing Hawaiian vacation I've had and I've been 10 times. I took my hard drive and lap top with all intentions of getting some editing done but actually didn't even turn on my computer the entire trip. I'm playing catch up now that I'm at home (and with a cold might I add) but I'm working fast to get back to normal. Maui Beaches are beautiful and much better than this cold weather in Utah, but it's nice to be home and the Holidays are almost here!

Dogs, Man's best Friend
I just love when families bring their dogs to photo sessions with them. I love my dog so seeing people who consider their dogs their kids mean a lot to me. Dogs can be a little tricky to photograph sometimes. In my opinion they can be harder to photograph than kids but that all depends on the dog and kid. These cute dogs were very well behaved and fairly easy to get good photos of. That makes me happy! The family was super fun and tried some awesome and silly shots. I loved the mission impossible photo and had to share!

I posted photos from this couples engagement session up Logan Canyon but wanted to do a separate post from their pictures at Utah State. These two met at orientation at Utah State so of course pictures at their school means something to them. We had fun at Old Main doing photos on the A and surrounding areas. I'm pretty excited for their December wedding!

This engagement session was fantastic. Jessica had a lot of ideas she wanted and I sure hope we got them all. These two love birds are getting married next month and I'm so thankful I get to be apart of their special day.
We took their pictures at second damn because it has special meaning to them. Braxton proposed here at second dam on this very spot. So fun!
Just a quick warning... There are a lot of photos in this post. I couldn't decide on my favorites and these sure aren't all of them! We did a second location so that post will come later! Congratulations to these love birds!
One of my favorites from this session!

These two little guys are so adorable! I was so excited when their mom (my cousin) asked me to do their photos. I don't see her too often because they live'd a few states away. She was in town and wanted some updated pictures of her little guys so I was more than happy to help out. These boys were super fun to hang out with and kept me on the run! They are going to be some major heart breakers when they grow up.
What I'm thankful for
I have a lot to be thankful for and I wanted to share my thoughts. Since I am a photographer and I love Photos, that's what you get :)
1. First of all, I'm thankful for this handsome man, Andy. Without him I wouldn't have started my photography business. He's been so helpful and supportive I can't even explain how much he's helped me grow as a photographer. He's always willing to help me with tips, his view of my edits/photos, even posing for my new backdrops, and more. He's taught me more about photography than I thought possible, not because he's a photographer and knows the practice but because he asks me those questions that need asked and then I have to find the answer. I am so thankful for his belief in me as a photographer and for helping me get started. He's got grand ideas about my new studio and I can't wait to get some of them into place.
2. I'm thankful for my parents. They've always been supportive of everything I do. My mom has even been my photographer when I needed her to and she's been great to work with. She takes my feedback and persistent hassle of being a photographer in front of the lens instead of behind it very well.
3. My Family - My sisters have let me use their family and kids as my guinea pigs / models many times. I always appreciate their willingness. I look back at photos I took years ago and compare them with where I'm at today and love the growth. Without practice and these guys I wouldn't be the photographer I am today.
4. My very first official clients. This family was the first paying customer of mine and I'm thrilled to have them back multiple times. Their faith in me has helped me more than they will probably ever know. Thank you so much for your continued support.
5. Repeat Customers! What photographer doesn't love repeat clients? When a Client comes back for multiple sessions we know we've done what they wanted and met or exceeded their expectations. Thank you for all of my repeat clients. I'm offering a Fall Special for previous clients only. Half off a session of your choice (Excluding weddings) any time from here until May 2014. Use Code: REPEAT when you book your session.
6. Models - These two adorable babies were my first new born sessions. I'm very thankful for them (and their parents) willingness to give me a try and continue to allow me to photograph these adorable little girls.

7. Referrals - As a home based business with little to no advertising a photographer loves referrals. Much like repeat customers, referrals mean we are doing something right! This wonderful lady referred 3 clients to me. I can't thank them enough.
8. New Clients - Anytime a new client comes along I know they are ultimately trusting me to capture their memories, special events, personality, and family by hiring me as their photographer. A special Thank You to all of my clients and future clients for trusting me to be your photographer.
I hope everyone has a fabulous November and Thanksgiving this year.
